Fox Shocks - 2.0 Pro-Series Non Coil Over Shocks w/Reservoir Fox 2.0 Reservoir Shocks are the highest quality in light duty racing shocks. Reservoirs are designed to increase the oil capacity. This increase in oil capacity prevents the shock oil from overheating and breaking down. When shock oil overheats the damping effect of the shock is lessened. So to insure consistent handling and performance a reservoir is an excellent feature. We recommend these for light vehicles individually or on heavier vehicles with more than one shock per corner. Fox reservoir shocks can be mounted at any angle as the IFP in the reservoir keeps the oil and nitrogen separated. The larger diameter 7/8" shaft helps resist compression and works more like an air spring than the 5/8" shaft. But while the larger shaft is stronger it is also heavier and more expensive.
